Wonderful herb with strong flavor. Perfect for Italian cuisine. Basil puts the finishing touch on salads, sauces, soups, meat and vegetable dishes. Used fresh or dried. Can be grown both indoors on the windowsill or outdoors in e.g. jar or porch box. Very sensitive to cold. Place sunny and warm in light, nutrient-rich soil with a steady water supply. After sowing, the soil is kept moist until germination is well under way.
