Fish Pepper is a great fruit with an even better plant. It originally comes from Africa, but was used a lot in the Afro-American culture in the United States all the way back to the 1940s. Back then it was used in shellfish soups and hence the name. The fruit goes from green with bright yellow stripes to red with bright red stripes. The leaves are a story in themselves! Easy to grow and produces lots of fruit. Not the best food chili, but it's perfectly fine. If nothing else, it is a beautiful plant!
